Williamsburg Garden
This garden is a centerpiece on our property.  It was the Master Gardener Project designed and entirely installed by husband, Patrick- down to the last brick on the pathway.  No wonder we are so proud of our Williamsburg Garden!
Following the Colonial Style of gardening, the beds are very symmetrical, enclosed by brick walkways.  The inside of the fence in lined with boxwood.  Outside the fence there are shrub roses on one side and peonies and espalied apple trees on the other.  The garden is planted with a variety of herbs and perennial flowers.
Notice the two trellises, one is covered with a hops vine, the other by a grapevine.  You should, therefore sit under the appropriate trellis while enjoying your favorite beverage!
Tending the Colonial Garden showed the skill of the gardener of the day by maintaining order and symmetry in the wild, untamed new land.
